Ten years following its groundbreaking debut at Sundance, the film that first humanized the face of HIV is now available in this Special 10th Anniversary Edition. Neither depressing nor maudlin, ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE is a disarming, often funny film. The tone is set by filmmaker Peter Adair's wry irreverence and the refreshing directness of his cast.

From an initial pool of 125, Adair selected 11 unique individuals to share their stories with the camera. Ranging in age from seventeen to sixty, these unforgettable characters represent a wide variety of life styles, ethnicities, and life experiences. From Johnnie, a young Asian-American man who came out of the closet, had sex for the first time, and tested positive all in one year, to Doris, an African-American mother who found out she was positive only after her 6-month old son was diagnosed with AIDS, these stories let us in on how people lived with profound uncertainty in the midst of one of history's biggest controversies.
